“Help young people. Because…young people will have the seeds you bury in their minds, and when they grow up, they will change the world.”
Help impact, inspire and influence a junior golfer in Greater Lansing! Join the volunteer team at any of the five Program Locations of The First Tee of Mid-Michigan, and support a terrific character education program while teaching young people about golf and life!
The First Tee is a unique character education program founded on a curriculum of Core Values, Life Skills, Golf Skills and Healthy Habits, via the great game of golf! Open to youth ages 8-18, we help young people develop strong interpersonal skills, set goals, build resilience skills, and plan for the future. Our volunteers help us in many ways:
- Deliver The First Tee Life Skills Experience Curriculum
- Assist with data entry and office work
- Help with special events
- Mentor youth
- Coach golf
